Wasteology Collect and Recycle Soil and Green Waste
Construction Companies are under pressure to perform more environmentally and demonstrate the high levels of waste materials are reused and recycled that come from the construction project. Any Construction project exceeding more than £300,000 must identify Soil or Green Waste as one of its material in its SWMP (Site Waste Management Plan) and its intended final destination and use. From the first phase of Demolition and Groundworks to landscaping. Soil and Green Waste is a sustainable resource that can be recycled and avoid landfill. Wasteology recommended that Soil is segregated where possible at source or mixed with Construction waste at source of disposal. Green waste should be segregated and not mixed with Construction waste. This waste will be screened through our Material Recovery Facility based in Wellington Somerset. Once separated into a reused material the recovered soil will be shipped to its final destination dependent on its quality. Green Waste is sent to farmers and composting centres.
